Not Mine

Love was just a space in your mind
Finding yourself escaping some time
Running around summer and wine
Spending a dollar and making a dime
Parking the car and then taking a fine
Pushing the cue and not waiting in line
The sound the bong was really a chime
Grinding out waste and churning up grime
Reality waking with war and the crime
Not just forever but all of the time
Give thanks its not us on the firing line
Somebody's life but not yours and not mine
